Big-ticket items lead the latest roundup of values and savings, but if you’re just here for the games, we’ve got plenty of deals there, too. Onward Weekend Coupons! My lord, they’ve already started preorder bonuses on Madden NFL 11. And of course, Tuesday’s big releases also get inducements. Clear your throats and hit the jump for Weekend Coupons . RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-COLA! Software • Amazon offers $10 credits with pre-orders of two games launching this Tuesday: Dante’s Inferno (PS3/360 $57) and Bioshock 2 , which is $5, $4, and $3 off for 360, PS3, and PC, respectively. [Dealzon] • Amazon and Walmart.com have kicked off six months of pre-order Maddeness, offering $20 credits with Madden NFL 11 . And the shelf-clearing begins with a Madden NFL 10 + NCAA Football 10 360 combo, $65 shipped from the Microsoft Store. Best prices elsewhere are $45 and $47, $92 for the both. [Dealzon] • Here’s a post-order, but a good deal if you’ve yet to grab Mass Effect 2 for the PC. GoGamer has it for $39.90, use coupon SHIPFREE25 to get free shipping [ TechDealDigger ] • GamersGate says it’s added servers and quadrupled download speeds. Further, it’s offering Bioshock half off through Sunday in anticipation of BioShock 2’s release on Tuesday. They’ve also got a new sales partner, Telltale Games, and so have 10 percent discounts on Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max Season 1 and 2, and Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People. Also, tomorrow only, Red Faction 1 and 2 will be half off. [ GamersGate ] • Steam’s Weekend Deal: Far Cry is $4.99, Far Cry 2: Fortune’s Edition is $9.99. [ Steam ] • GameFly subscribers can take advantage of some rockbottom used game prices with free shipping. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Ghostbusters and X-Men Origins: Wolverine – Uncaged Edition are each $9.99, Call of Duty: World at War is $14.99 and Prototype is $17.99. All games are Xbox 360. [ Cheap Ass Gamer ] Hardware • Xbox 360 consoles continue 360-deals-a-year pace as PS3s continue to command MSRP. The Xbox 360 Arcade with a $25 Gift Card deal ends at Amazon today. Then on Sunday Best Buy will take the torch (plus tax) for the coming week. Elite is $294 + free extra controller at Amazon today and Dell has the Elite for $269.99 + tax. [ Dealzon ] • The 11-inch Alienware M11x gaming laptop that we said is “worth looking into once it hits the market” has hit the market. Starts at $799 + some nickel-and-dime $1.95 shipping [ Dealzon ] • Deanbmmv points out an interesting sale that I guess qualifies as hardware. The Valve Store – this is their merch shop, t-shits and stuff, not games, features a 10 to 50 percent of sale on all Valve branded items until Feb. 14. Left 4 Dead hats, Aperture Labs parking passes, headcrabs, go for it. [ Valve Store ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

No real theme to this week’s deals, but that means there’s a wide array of cheap stuff being offered out there – some of it meh, most of it good. Hardware • 360 console update: Best Buy has the Elite with free Madden NFL and an extra controller ($76 bonus value, ends this Sat. 1/30), Buy.com’s Elite plus a $50 gift card deal ends Sunday, and the Arcade is $179 at Amazon. [ Dealzon ] • The PSPGo can be had for $40 off – $209.99 – through NewEgg. Available in pearl white. [ TechDealDigger ] Software • The Beatles: Rock Band Premium Bundles, which include a Höfner Bass controller and Beatles branded drums, launched at a premium price of $249.99 in September. Now you shouldn’t pay more than $200. Best deal is Amazon: $179.99, free shipping through Feb. 28. PS3 and 360 only, folks. The Wii version is scarce and pulling up to $300 on eBay. [ Dealzon ] • Deanbmmv passes along this U.K. special: Dragon Age: Origins (PS3 and 360 versions) is £19 (regularly £40) through Grainger Games. Price is good in-store or online. • Darksiders (Xbox 360) is $42.99 shipped from Amazon and Newegg. $57 and up elsewhere. [ Dealzon ] • Steam’s sale this weekend is banana republic simulator Tropico 3, for $13.60. It’s normally $40. [ Steam ] • Direct2Drive is offering Red Faction: Guerrilla for $4.95, which is 75 percent off. [ Cheap Ass Gamer ] • If you prefer more teamwork than the U.S. military advertises, Amazon has the new Army of Two: The 40th Day (PS3, 360) for $44.99 plus free shipping. Next best is $53 shipped from Best Buy. [ Dealzon ] • Curious combo of PS3 games popped up on Amazon. NBA Live 09, The Bigs and The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian can all be had for $19.99. Upside is it’s $15 less than these games bought separately ($35.05); downside is Amazon’s motive probably has something to do with no one buying these games since they came out in ‘07 and ‘08. [ Dealzon ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

Not too many jaw-dropping deals, as we seem to have cleared not only the Christmas sales period, but also the post-Christmas clearance window. But with the first big wave of new releases coming up, some new values can be found. Hardware • Amazon’s Xbox Elite 120GB plus $50 Gift Card deal for $293.99 ends today. Looks like the last, and best, 360 Elite + GC deal of the post-holiday retail merry-go-round … for now. [ Dealzon ] • This is the best second-guitar sale I’ve seen in a while: From Buy.com, $26.99 gets you a Rock Band Fender Stratocaster, which is always handy as a spare (or a new axe), and it gives you AC/DC Live Rock Band. It also gives you the craptacular Rock Revolution. But the point here is, new second guitar controller (and yes, it’s wireless) and then the AC/DC tunes if you wanted an excuse for that. [ TechDealDigger ] • Amazon finally caught up with old times and is stocking the Retrolink USB Nintendo (NES) Classic Controller for a Feb. 1 ship date. It’s $7.99 and qualifies for free Super Saver or Prime shipping. Normally $30 shipped elsewhere, except on the rare occasion that GoGamer has it in stock for $16-$20. [ Dealzon ] Software • Steam’s weekend sale is the Company of Heroes series. Get Company of Heroes, or Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts for $4.99; Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor is $7.49. The whole shootin’ match (literally) is $12.49. These discounts amount to 75 percent off. [ Steam ] • If you’re looking to buy BioShock 2 on the PC and can find three other friends, four copies of that game plus four free copies of the first BioShock can be had for $134.97 if you pre-order on Steam, making the per-person cost $33.74. If you can’t find three other friends or don’t want the hassle, you can buy a single copy of BioShock 2 for $44.99 (10 percent off) and still get the free BioShock. [ Cheap Ass Gamer ] • Amazon started selling PlayStation Network access codes back in October but to this point it’s mainly just offered convenience. Well, Friday they finally launched a decent little sale – 50 percent off five popular PS3 downloadable games ($3.49 to $7.49, were $6.99 to $14.99). The sale includes Braid, Critter Crunch, Burn Zombie Burn and a token PSP title, Kurulin Fusion. [ Dealzon ] • For two new games launching on Tuesday, January 26 – Mass Effect 2 (360, PC) and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii) – Amazon has the best price ($3 off lists $60/50/50, respectively) plus they’re throwing in $10 credits for future game purchases if you pre-order through Monday. [Dealzon] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

So yesterday, Walmart slashed prices on Xbox Live subscription cards, and Amazon followed suit. Then everyone started offering $50 gift cards for Elite console purchases. This is madness! This is Weekend Coupons ! Hardware • Walmart is selling a 12-month Xbox Live subscription card for $30 – that’s $20 off. Offer is good for the Internet or in-store (check for delivery). Big thanks to reader amacvane for spying this. [ Walmart ] • Lo and behold, once Walmart did this Friday, Amazon returned fire, matching the price. And as Dealzon notes, it might actually beat the price as most won’t pay any kind of tax (or shipping) on the purchase through Amazon. [ Dealzon ] • Retailers are continuing to clear off holiday console stock. The Xbox 360 Elite bundle, for $299.99, gets $50 gift cards thrown in at both Best Buy and Newegg (Newegg through Thursday). And the Arcade is down to $174 on both Amazon and Dell. [ Dealzon ] • Gamestop felt left out, so they, too, are offering a $50 gift card if you take an Elite off their hands. [ GameStop ] • The PSPGo makes its Weekend Coupons debut, via Newegg, which is offering the handheld for $20 less than anywhere else. It’s $209.99 for white, $219.99 for black. [ Dealzon ] • And if consoles must go, that means controllers, too. Remember, never pay MSRP for that extra controller. Newegg and Amazon are doing up Xbox 360 controllers for $30, in flavors both black and white . [Dealzon] Software • Beginning this instant – as in, right now – Amazon’s offering a lightning-round deal on “role-playing first person shooting for the PC.” To me that means either Borderlands or Fallout 3. Which is it? [ Cheap Ass Gamer ] • It might be nearly two years old, but Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, new in the box, is down to used prices on Newegg. $19.99 and free shipping puts it in your hot little hands [ TechDealDigger ] • Also from Newegg, the Resident Evil 5 Collector’s Edition on PS3 for eight bucks more than the lowest price on the game itself. That’s $44.99, to be precise. The package gets you the game, a Redfield action figure, Kijuju pendant and other swag. [ Dealzon ] • Steam’s got an interesting offer good until the end of today (PST) only. The indie PC racing game Zero Gear (which released Tuesday) is free for Saturday only My error. The game has a free-play day all today. It is then $14.99 on Sunday (a savings of $5). So getting the game free today does not mean you keep it tomorrow. [ Steam ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

Retail’s harvest season is over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any more discounts and values to be had. There just aren’t as many, that’s all. Hardware: • Want a Wii? Don’t pay full price. Dell Small Business has got it for $184. TechDealDigger notes that you will have to add it to your cart to see the discounted price, so don’t freak out at first. Free shipping. [ TechDealDigger ] • If you’ve been itching for a fightstick, the Tekken 6 Limited Edition bundle, which includes its wireless stick, is $67 on Xbox 360 and $75 on PS3 through Amazon. Best deal found elsewhere is about $100. [ Dealzon ] • There’s also the official Street Fighter IV FightStick. Tournament edition is now $22 off – $99.99 – at Newegg, 360 or PS3. Or the standard edition – just for PS3 though – is $49 from Newegg as well as Amazon. Usually it’s $77. [ Dealzon ] • I did scan the major retailers (Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Toys R Us) but it seems with the end of the holidays, they are all out of goodwill. If something different’s going on with your store, please highlight it for us in the comments. Software: • Amazon’s offer of a 12-month Gold Xbox Live subscription for $34.99 (regularly $49.99) is still good as of this writing. It’s also got a 4,000 Microsoft points card up for $41.99. Usually it’s $49.99. [ Dealzon ] • If that Amazon points deal goes away, check Dell, it’s offering the same card for the same price. Or just go to Dell first. [ TechDealDigger ] • GamersGate is holding a sale, and combining that with the download code GG-FACEBOOK FAN delivers 20 percent more savings. [ Cheap Ass Gamer ] • Steam’s big weekend sale is Serious Sam HD for $6.79 through Monday; normally it is $19.99. [ Steam ] • Some special editions to consider. Although the MSRP on Batman: Arkham Asylum has dropped to $49.99, paying the launch price of $59.99 bags you the game plus a Batarang. Amazon’s selling the collector’s edition of the game for Xbox 360; the next best price out there is $87. [ Dealzon ] • And the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 2, for PS3, is available through Walmart.com for $49. While this doesn’t get you the infamous night vision goggles, it does deliver the game, art book, a “steel book with metallic finish,” and the token for downloading Call of Duty Classic off PSN. [ Dealzon ] • Amazon’s stuck a $10 future game-order credit on preorders of Army of Two: The 40th Day. Commit to the game now and get 10 bucks toward your next game buy. It’s $56.99 for 360 and PS3, $36.99 on the PSP. [ Dealzon ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

Looking at this week’s deals, one gets the sense that retailers didn’t move enough consoles or accessories, because they’re still pushing them, all the way to Planet Basketball . Chewchilla, prepare for light speed, it’s time for Weekend Coupons Ham Salad Hardware • ‘Tis the season for big box retailers to get rid of console stock. Ending today is Best Buy’s offer of $60 off any game or accessory, with the purchase of an Xbox 360 Arcade for $199.99. That “up to $60 off” sounds like it is applicable to one item only, you don’t get another $20 off something else if you buy a $40 item with it. [ Dealzon ] • Walmart’s counter offer – any Xbox 360 console (Elite, Arcade, or refurbed 20GB Pro) gets you a $50 gift card that’s good for online shopping only. The $50 credit is not eligible in stores. [ Dealzon ] • Santa’s elves must have made a truckload of the Xbox 360 Elite Pure/Lego Batman bundles, because they are still flogging them, this time through Dell for $269.99. That’s $30 off the next lowest shipped price. [ TechDealDigger ] • Also, if your Xbox 360 controller goes through batteries like crap through a goose, Amazon has Play and Charge kits but only in two flavors: Red or Black . Price comparisons show that’s $8 better than the next best price elsewhere, and just $5 more than the best deal on a standard controller. [Dealzon] Fluke Starbucker Software • Another deal ending today is Amazon’s $20 store credit offer, if you spend $80 or more from a select list of titles. There 84 Xbox 360 games to choose from, 83 PS3 and 116 on the Wii (Many PS2 and DS games also eligible.) Looks like they’re getting rid of holiday stock, as none of the most recent blockbusters like Modern Warfare 2 or Assassin’s Creed 2 are involved. But Borderlands, the God of War Collection and NCAA Football 10 are. The $20 comes back as a store credit good for your next purchase of a game only. [ Dealzon ] • Remember also that the Toys R Us Buy-One-Get-Half-Off deal also is ongoing. It’s applicable to all PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii games. Cheap Ass Gamer notes the deal applies to $19.99 DS titles and $19.99 game accessories. • Steam’s betting you have holiday cash to burn; they’ve put a bunch of stuff on sale. Today only, though, you can grab Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 for $10.19; The Elder Scrolls II: Morrowind GOTY Edition for $4.99; Counter-Strike: Source for $4.99; Trine for $4.99 and Painkiller: Collectors Pack for $8.74. There’ll be a new batch tomorrow at 10 a.m. U.S. Mountain time. Steam’s also offering bundles from Eidos and Codemasters, plus titles by THQ, 2K, Ubi and Rockstar at steep discounts. Basically, anything that’s not Call of Duty, you can expect it’s probably on sale. [ Steam ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.

Weekend Coupons is noticing a definite swing toward console deals and bundles as the holiday shopping season wears on. Might want to consider snapping them up this week, as they’re certain not to last much past Christmas. Hardware • Amazon is going used-car-dealer nuts with the prices on Xbox 360s. The arcade is $179 ; the Elite is less than $100 more, $274.99 . The Elite is the Holiday Bundle, too, so you get a couple games with it. [Dealzon] • Walmart sees that and says “Allow me to retort.” It’s dishing up the Elite bundle, plus a 12-month Xbox Live sub, plus your choice of two games – and Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, and Left 4 Dead 2 are on the list – for only $349. Now, you’ll have to pay about $15 in shipping, and sales tax. But it’s still a good value that normally would run $440. [ Dealzon ] • The Guitar Hero Store is offering a buttload of Guitar Hero for a hundred bucks. You get Guitar Hero 5, a git-tar, and then Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero II, plus Band Hero, for $99.99. [ TechDealDigger ] • Target’s offering a $10 gift card if you buy a DS. See the circular for details [ Target ] • SonyStyle is offering $50 off the PS3 Slim, if you buy an accessory with it. A remote control is $24.99, making this effectively a $25 discount. Or you can look on it as a console with an extra controller for free. [ TDD ] • Toys ‘R Us will give you any controller for 30 percent off if you buy a console. Not as good as the PS3 deal, but it covers Xbox 360 and Wii. [ Toys 'R Us ] • Amazon’s hoping that, if you’re in the market for a new DualShock, you might be willing to pick up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune along with it. Both are bundled for $58.99, $12 less than bought separately, and the controller comes in four fun flavors, red, black, silver or blue.[ Dealzon ] • Dell’s selling the PSP-3000 Assassin’s Creed model for $169.99. That’s $30 less than elsewhere. [ Dealzon ] Software • Steam’s deal is Torchlight, half off. That’s $9.99. [ Steam ] • At GamersGate, Trine is half off. So is the Battlefield 2 Complete Collection (it’s down to $14.95), in North America only though, until Wednesday. Saint’s Row 2 is 30 percent off ($19.95) through Dec. 28. [ GamersGate ] • And finally, Gamefly is offering two months for the price of one to new customers who sign up by this Sunday. You can also get 14 free issues of Sports Illustrated or Entertainment Weekly with the sub. [ Dealzon ] As always, smart gamers can find values any day of the week, so if you’ve run across a deal, share it with us in the comments.
