Is BioWare actually letting Charlie Brown kick the DLC football? Looks like Return to Ostagar, the DLC pack for Dragon Age: Origins , came back sometime yesterday to Xbox Live Marketplace and for PC download. The DLC originally went live on Jan. 14 but had to be removed because a title update created a bug within it. That followed earlier bug-related delays in development. The pack is 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 US. As of publication, it is still not on the PlayStation Network and is classified as “coming soon” on the BioWare page. News: No ETA on Return to Ostagar launch

Troublesome title update gone from Live. BioWare has said it is uncertain when troubled Dragon Age DLC Return to Ostagar will be released on any format following yesterday’s second snafu. This week a patch designed to pave the way for the DLC was found to have a problem that affected levelling, and BioWare was quick to pull the DLC from Xbox Live as a result. Now the troublesome patch has followed. “The Title Update has been removed by Microsoft. If anyone was worried about playing their copy of Dragon Age: Origins on their Xbox 360 while this was present, you no longer need to worry,” BioWare’s Chris Priestly informed fans on the official forum. Priestly said that the team is still working on a fix. Read more…

Dragon Age Return To Ostagar DLC Now Unavailable [False Start]

Briefly going up for sale on Xbox Live yesterday , BioWare has pulled the Return to Ostagar downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins until it can fix a title update that was breaking specialization classes. A title update released yesterday meant to prepare the Xbox 360 version of Dragon Age: Origins for the Return to Ostagar DLC did more harm than good. Players began complaining that the specialization classes – subclasses of Dragon Age’s four main character classes – were no longer functioning. In response, BioWare pulled the DLC, urging players not to download the title update in a post on the official game forums. This morning a title update on the Xbox 360 for Dragon Age: Origins was made available in preparation for the release of Return to Ostagar. This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins. We are removing Return to Ostagar from Xbox Live until the issue is resolved and are recommending that you do not download the title update. If you have already performed the update, we apologize for this and are working hard to ensure a fix is available as soon as possible. We will provide more information to you when it is available. The downloadable content was previously delayed due to unforseen bugs. Yesterday’s release for the Xbox 360 marked the first platform to get the new downloadable content, with PC and PlayStation 3 owners waiting impatiently for news on a release for their platform of choice. Hit the link below for the announcement, followed by a couple dozen pages worth of angry player responses and console bickering. Title Update, Specialization issue and Return to Ostagar Update [BioWare Community Forums - Thanks Kevin!]

Dragon Age DLC hit by new problems. Delayed Dragon Age DLC Return to Ostagar has appeared briefly on Xbox Live before being pulled by developer BioWare. According to BioWare’s Chris Priestly, writing on the official forum, the problem this time is in a preceding patch. “This morning a title update on the Xbox 360 for Dragon Age: Origins was made available in preparation for the release of Return to Ostagar,” he wrote. Uncharted 2 Title Update Brings Free Map, Double Cash, Double Chins [Title Update]

A massive title update for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves drops this Friday, with a new multiplayer map, global and friend list leaderboards, and a double cash weekend. Unfortunately, Drake went a little overboard at Thanksgiving dinner. Actually Drake and Lazarevic both went a bit heavy on the brown food, so competitive matches over the double cash weekend, which kicks off on Friday, will feature one team in Doughnut Drake skins, and the other as Doughnut Lazarevic. The dynamic duo will be leaving craters all over the new “The Fort” map, inspired by the Fortress level from the original game. The title update also includes a slew of new leaderboards, allowing players to see what their friends have been up to and how they stack up against the rest of the world.
