More Uncharted 2 Co-Op? Certainly Sounds Like It [Uncharted]

Uncharted 2 ’s co-op play seemed to go down well with players, so it’s only natural to see developers Naughty Dog talking about adding even more to the game via downloadable content. Speaking with G4, Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells has said “So for future DLC, could we add more co-op? Probably more in the arena-style type of gameplay, like our Survival and our Gold Rush modes.” “The objective-style co-op that we have where we have those little narrative moments…it’s something that we are considering and we’d really like to do, but it’s a much, much bigger investment of time because we have to do a lot of motion capture with the actors and record a lot of voices. So we would absolutely want make sure that we talk to our community and make sure there was the proper demand for it.” So come 2010, you’ll probably get more co-op. You may even get more story-driven co-op. Merry Christmas, Uncharted 2 fans. Reaction Time: Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells Reflects on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves [G4]

Gears of War Movie Producer Talks About His Vision For Emergence Day On Film [Movies]

Wyck Godfrey, producer of the Gears of War movie adaptation, has thoughts about the transition of the Xbox 360 game’s transition to the big screen. These are those thoughts. “The hard part is to make [Gears of War] into something that doesn’t feel like a world torn asunder and people just in battle,” Godfrey tells Making Of . “I think we really want to focus on the idea of a world that’s running well and then it’s Emergence Day.” Godfrey says he pictures the film—to be directed by Underworld director and Kate Beckinsale husband Len Wiseman —telling a story of the survival of “those 48 hours” following Emergence Day, likening the experience to 2008’s big monster movie Cloverfield. He also says this. Help me decipher it. “Trying to tell the epic story of an alien planet that’s living in a horrific environment just feels like the wrong move right now,” Godfrey tells Making Of. If that means something to you, please, let us know your interpretation in the comments. Wyck Godfrey reveals Gears of War details [Making Of via Kokugamer - thanks, Jiby!]

7th Sense will release on Apple Store a 2.5D title for survival horror and adventure games addicted. The ill-famed main character affirms: “I look forward to being released”
Palermo – Italy, 20th November 2009-
Waiting for Apple approval, Fallen’s main character issues some burning official statements. Roman Mendez, hot-headed jailbird, makes his allegations from the isolation cell where he has been shut. 7th Sense, game development company and character’s main interlocutor, makes his thoughts public to press and gamers.
“This is a public charge. 7th Sense exploit the characters of its games with no mercy. Since the day the development started, I had to work hours and hours, into this shitty location. Look at the screenshots, if you don’t trust me!” 7th Sense spokesperson answers: “Fallen EP-1, our new iPhone game, includes more than 40 dark, gloomy locations, with a touch of mystery mood and action. Well, it’s a survival horror game, not a pinky game for baby girls… have you ever seen a hero moaning so much?”
Actually, the game frightening ambience is made worse thanks to the original soundtrack and sound effects and many minigames to win. It won’t make main character life easy, while trying to escape from a strangely desert prison.. all but empty.
Roman, already warned not to disclose other details about the game, looks forward to the players willing to offer their help in this 2.5D adventure: “I need allies. Pull your fingers out and help me leaving this place. They think I have nothing better to do than going through their dirty scenarios. Do you think they ever asked me if I feel like facing all those monsters? Hey, I’m a criminal, but I don’t think I deserved all this shit.” Angry words, full of rage.
The main character of the first survival horror game for iPhone presses: “Since these bloody developers ran away with producing “Fallen”, I have been in a living hell. They told me I would have won fame and made money, but it’s just plain hard work: take this item, bring it there, use it with this one, move that object, turn that other, kill this, cut that.. it’s a nightmare! I want to be discharged. I and the game, have to be released!”
“Gameplay dynamics”, 7th Sense states, “are a tribute to great classic of survival horror game genre, midway between graphic adventures and action games.
It includes explorations, fighting, object picking, new minigames to win and many scenarios to unlock while slowly unravelling the story.” It would be useless, in fact, complaining about the interaction surplus. “It’s a plus, if anything.”
“Fallen EP-1”, meanwhile, is awaiting for Apple thumb up, and gamers can warm up their fingers. In fact, in order to reassure people who fear a characters strike, 7th Sense declares: “The first two episodes of the game have been developed at the same time, and publishing on App Store won’t be stopped by any characters strike.”
Roman Mendez is warned.
“Fallen EP-1”, is expected to be released on App Store on December.

Meet The Characters From the Latest Silent Hill Game Coming To WiiTM Just In Time For The Holidays!
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today revealed that the latest iteration of the critically acclaimed video game franchise – Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for Wii™ – will be available on December 8th, with the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system versions following shortly. Additionally, the company is releasing important details about the characters in the highly-anticipated survival horror game including profiles and images of the cast. A re-imagining of the first game in the famed franchise, Silent Hill’s debut on Wii will deliver a brand new user interface, all-new storylines, and a myriad of terrifying new gameplay features. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will also be released on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system with more details, including the street date, being announced in the near future.
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories begins just like the original as Harry Mason is searching for his daughter through the snowy streets of the haunted Silent Hill where he will encounter a cast of unique characters. However, this time, players are equipped with only a flashlight and cell phone to get story information, solve puzzles and navigate the darkness while escaping the demons that lurk among them. In addition, a psych-profiling feature has been added to analyze players and adjust itself to their actions, making this the most customizable and terrifying survival horror title to date.
Character details:
Harry Mason – While driving through the spooky streets of Silent Hill, Harry’s car skids on a patch of ice and veers off the road into a ditch. Upon waking from the crash, he realizes his daughter Cheryl is missing and sets out into the dark, freezing night to find her.

Michelle – Michelle meets Harry at her High School reunion, however he doesn’t remember it. Tired of waiting to meet up with her boyfriend, she decides to aid Harry in finding his daughter.
Dahlia – A tough, street-wise young girl, Dahlia seems to know quite a bit about Harry. The fact that he can’t remember anything about her confuses Dahlia as much as it does Harry.
Lisa – Lisa is a nurse at Alchemilla Hospital. Although she’s young, lines of experience are already evident on her face. Despite her cynicism, Harry finds himself protective of Lisa and offers to lend her a hand.
